Experience

The first large foam concrete project in the UK was completed in 1980 at the Falkirk Railway Tunnel in Scotland.

Around 4500m3 of 1100kg/m3 foam was placed in the (annulus) space surrounding the tunnel.

The largest project in the UK required around 70,000m3 of 500kg/m3 foam concrete encapsulating the utilities, supply pipes and cables within the road foundations at Canary Wharf in east London. Since then Foam Concrete Limited has gone on to supply other large projects requiring up to 19,000m3.

Foam Concrete Limited has developed innovative solutions for the use of foam concrete by using our extensive database of mix designs, together with massive investment in high volume on-site production equipment.
